Punam Que's Act

*Title: When Kindness Meets Disrespect — A Cautionary Tale About Integrity and Gratitude*

In a world where genuine kindness is often rare, it becomes important to both protect and celebrate those who go out of their way to uplift others. One such act of generosity recently came to light involving *Dr. Phiwe Jafta*, a community member known for his compassion and willingness to support others — particularly those in desperate need.

A Facebook post by an individual named *Punam Que* initially stirred emotions across social media. Punam publicly shared that he was struggling and in deep need of help. He crafted a heartfelt message to Dr. Jafta, portraying himself as someone living under harsh conditions and unable to afford basic resources. Moved by the plea, Dr. Jafta did not hesitate — he sent *R1,200* from his own pocket to assist.

But what followed shocked many who had witnessed this generous act unfold. Punam later posted screenshots indicating that, instead of using the money for essentials or to better his situation as he had pleaded, he allegedly used the funds to purchase *dagga (weed)* and boasted about it online. This deeply disrespected not only Dr. Jafta’s intentions, but also the spirit of ubuntu that many South Africans hold dear.

This incident raises an important social reflection: *How far will people go to exploit goodwill?* And at what cost?

Dr. Jafta is a symbol of what society needs more of — people who give without expecting anything in return. His action was rooted in empathy, love, and a desire to see someone rise above difficulty. Instead, he was met with mockery and misuse. Punam Que’s public admission wasn’t just disrespectful; it was a betrayal of trust, a slap in the face to all those who believe in helping others.

*Let this be a wake-up call:*

- *Kindness is not weakness.*

- *Corruption doesn’t only exist in government — it starts in small dishonest actions like these.*

- *When you steal from the good-hearted, you steal from a system that could uplift the whole community.* We, at *Royal Kasi Stories*, stand firmly against the abuse of goodwill. We encourage transparency, accountability, and community upliftment. Let us celebrate those like Dr. Jafta who lead with heart and selflessness — and also call out those who misuse help and then glamorize that betrayal.

To Dr. Jafta — thank you for being the kind of leader our society needs. We see you, we respect you, and we hope your heart never hardens because of this experience. Let your light inspire many, and let this story be a lesson to all of us about the value of truth, gratitude, and respect.
